La Reata Ranch subdivision, located between Smithville and Bastrop on TX State Highway 304, is just a fifteen minute drive from both towns. This Bastrop County subdivision was created in 1999 out of a former ranch.
The La Reata Ranch subdivision contains 192 lots, with most containing an established selection of trees, including oak, pine and cedar. Some of the lots can even qualify for an agricultural tax exemption.
The subdivision is run by a property owners association and features nature trails, a park, grills, picnic tables, a sand volleyball court and basketball goal for the property owners to use. There is also a nice catch and release fishing pond for the residents to use as well.
The students of this subdivision as eligible to attend the schools in the Smithville Independent school District.
Home prices in La Reata Ranch vary from the $200,000’s to the $300,000’s and lot prices start at around $41,000.
