The ColoVista community lies about 10 minutes away from Bastrop and about 20 minutes away from La Grange off Texas Hwy 71. Known for it’s top rated golf course since 1997, the ColoVista Country Club and golf course fell into disrepair after it’s owner passed away and it eventually closed it’s doors in 2009. After years of watching their neglected community fall into disrepair and suffer in the Bastrop Complex Fire that destroyed some of the area, the home owners finally gained control of their community in 2011 and have been working hard to bring the subdivision and the ColoVista golf course back to life.
The ColoVista POA has hired the Billy Casper Golf management company to manage the course and it reopened to the public in July 2013.
The students from this area are eligible to attend the Smithville Independent School District’s schools.
With home prices varying from the upper $100,000′s to the $800,000′s there is a home available for many different budgets.
